- PURPOSE AND SCOPE Centro de Especialistas Forenses, in its capacity as the controller of personal data collected in the course of providing its services, and in compliance with the provisions of Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013, hereby informs data subjects of this personal data processing and management policy. This policy applies to all personal information recorded in the controller’s databases, corresponding to employees, clients, suppliers, and associated third parties.
- LEGAL FRAMEWORK The processing of personal data is governed by the following provisions:
- Political Constitution of Colombia, Articles 15 and 20.
- Law 1581 of 2012.
- Decree 1377 of 2013.
- Any other regulations that amend or supplement the above.
- PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING Personal data collected will be used for the following purposes, according to the type of data subject:
4.1 Employees
- Fulfillment of legal and contractual obligations arising from the employment relationship.
- Administrative, accounting, and social security management.
4.2 Clients
- Provision of contracted services.
- Fulfillment of contractual obligations.
- Distribution of legal, regulatory, doctrinal, or institutional information.
- Information regarding new services, partnerships, or changes to existing ones.
- Service quality evaluation.
- Marketing activities and institutional communications.
- Handling of requests from administrative or judicial authorities.
4.3 Suppliers
- Contract management and payment of fees.
- Reports required by law or contract.
- Handling of inquiries, requests, or complaints.
- Monitoring of compliance with contractual obligations.
- DEFINITION OF PERSONAL DATA Personal data refers to any information linked to or that can be associated with a specific or identifiable natural or legal person.
- RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS Data subjects have the right to:
- Access, update, and correct their personal data.
- Request proof of the authorization granted.
- Be informed of how their personal data is being used.
- Revoke authorization and/or request the deletion of their data.
- Access their personal data free of charge.
- AUTHORIZATION FOR DATA PROCESSING Personal data will only be processed upon the express, informed, and voluntary authorization of the data subject, except in cases exempted by law. When requesting authorization, the data subject will be informed of the following: the purpose of the processing, their applicable rights, the contact details of the data controller, and the mechanisms available to exercise their rights.
- PROCEDURE FOR EXERCISING RIGHTS Requests for consultation, updating, correction, or deletion must include at minimum: the data subject’s full name, identification document, contact information, a clear description of the request, and any supporting documents, if applicable. Requests will be addressed within the timeframes established by law.

- POLICY AMENDMENTS Any material changes to this policy will be communicated to data subjects through the usual communication channels.
- EFFECTIVE DATE This policy takes effect as of February 26, 2026, and will remain in force for as long as the purposes of the data processing continue to exist.
